McKenzie Health Honors Debbe Kay with BEE Award for Exceptional Service at Connie Wold Wellness Center

Watford City—McKenzie Health is proud to announce Debbe Kay, team member at the Connie Wold Wellness Center (CWWC), as the recipient of the BEE Award, which is presented to staff members who go Beyond Exceptional Expectations in supporting patients, members, and fellow team members.
Debbe was nominated for her unwavering commitment to creating a welcoming, supportive environment for all who walk through the doors of CWWC. For many, the gym can feel intimidating, but Debbe has an extraordinary gift for putting people at ease from day one. She’s known for her warm greetings, heartfelt goodbyes, and her ability to make every individual feel seen and valued.
One nominator shared, “Debbe learns your name and greets you with a friendly ‘hello’ and parts with a sincere ‘goodbye’ every single day. She’s helped me through tough family losses and cheered with me during personal victories. She is not only a staff member. She is a friend, a family member, and a warm, welcome soul for anyone who needs her.”
“Debbe Kay has been a faithful and committed employee of the CWWC since we opened in Feb. 2013. She greets members by name and is ready to provide a listening ear and encouraging smile for all that enter our facility. When she is out members are quick to ask when she will return. You will find her celebrating wins with members and providing support during life’s trials. Debbe is referred to by many as their ‘Life Coach’. Debbe is an exceptional employee who goes above and beyond for members and exemplifies the core values of McKenzie Health. We are thankful for the person Debbe Kay is and the care she shows for our facility and our members. Debbe is truly the secret to our success at the CWWC,” said Tricia Sundeen, Manager of the CWWC.
“Debbe is the heart and soul of the Wellness Center,” said McKenzie Health CEO Pete Edis. “Her daily commitment to kindness, inclusion, and genuine connection is what our organization strives to represent. We are honored to present her with the BEE Award.”
The BEE Award complements the DAISY Award, honoring non-nursing staff who consistently go above and beyond in support of patient and community care. Debbe Kay’s recognition highlights the vital role every team member plays in the healing and wellness journey.
McKenzie Health celebrates the BEE Award in May and December of each year. If you have had an excellent experience with a McKenzie Health professional, please nominate that person for the BEE Award. Applications are available throughout McKenzie Health’s locations and online at mckenziehealth.com/bee-award/.
