Dr. Gillian Lavik, MD
General Surgeon
Dr. Gillian Lavik is a native of Rugby, ND, and graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2010. Dr. Lavik completed pre-medical education at Macalester College in Minnesota. Her internship and residency were completed at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY, an affiliate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. During her graduate year, Dr. Lavik served as Chief Resident.
In 2014 Dr. Lavik presented to the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma Resident Paper Competition and was accepted for the 2015 Southwest Surgical Conference – “Preventing Farm Equipment Related Injury on Our Roadways: Where are We Now?”
Dr. Gillian Lavik is passionate about rural healthcare and enjoys providing healthcare and general surgery services in Western North Dakota.
When Dr. Lavik is not helping patients, she enjoys being with her family, sewing, crafting, and remodeling a farmhouse with her husband.
