IMPORTANT UPDATES AND NEWS

In response to some stated concerns in the community, we wanted to provide you with some clarifying information. McKenzie County Healthcare Systems, Inc., as well as Dr. Ramage, are and have been, enrolled with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medicare and ND Medicaid for many years.

Recently, we have also enrolled with several other insurance plans. All of our employed providers and the vast majority of our ER providers are enrolled in these plans as well.  A couple of the newer ER providers have enrollments being finalized as we speak.  However, if your visit falls in an insurance enrollment gap, you will not be responsible for the increased out-of-network responsibility.

What is the McKenzie Health Payment Policy?

Payment Policies

Copayments and deductibles are expected at the time of service; we have payment options for those who cannot afford to pay their portion and individuals without medical insurance coverage.

We will make every effort to inform you of any upfront charges prior to your hospital, clinic, or lab visit (including any applicable deductibles and copayments).

However, other care and testing may be required that is only discovered in the course of providing care. In the event that this occurs, we will bill your insurance for the additional care and testing. If there is a remaining balance after insurance has paid, we will send you a bill.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter. If you have questions regarding our billing processes, please do not hesitate to ask.

We recommend that our patients use MyChart IN THE PATIENT PORTAL

What is MyChart?

MyChart is an application (app) for Android phones and tablets, and Apple devices. This app provides fast, secure access to the most frequently used features of MyChart. With this app, a user can quickly and easily access his/her medical records, send private messages to providers, see upcoming and past appointments, get lab results, proxy access, and much more.

My Sanford Chart is a tool used by McKenzie Health to offer our patients 24/7 secured access to their medical details. This tool is provided by Sanford Health.

How can I get MyChart?

To use the mobile MyChart app, you must first have a MyChart account. If you do not already have a MyChart account, please ask for your access code at your next Sanford clinic visit or request an activation code online at https://www.mysanfordchart.org/mychart/signup

The app is free. To get it, you need an Android or Apple device. From one of those devices, go to the App Store application. Alternatively, you can access the App Store or Google Play on a desktop or laptop computer, download the app, and install it when the mobile device is synched.

The website to sign up is:

https://www.mysanfordchart.org/mychart/signup

The App information is:

1. Search keyword “mychart” in the iTunes App store or Android Market

2. Download and install the free MyChart App

3. Run the MyChart application from your smartphone

4. Select Sanford Health from the list of healthcare providers

5. Login with your My Sanford Chart login ID and password**

** You must be an active My Sanford Chart user (previously created a My Sanford Chart login ID and password) to use the MyChart App. If you do not already have a My Sanford Chart account, please ask for your access code at your next Sanford clinic visit or request an activation code online at https://www.mysanfordchart.org/mychart/signup

Why should I use MyChart?

MyChart offers mobility, instant access and convenience. Users are not required to be in front of a traditional desktop or laptop computer to access the benefits of the MyChart system. Typical users would be parents, patients who travel frequently, salespeople who spend a lot of time on the road, students, and those who have come to rely on an Apple or Android mobile device for internet access and messaging.

Is MyChart secure?

Security is a crucial component to the MyChart. The Apple and Android app use the same bank-level security that is used for other sensitive data transferred via the Internet.

My Sanford Chart is a tool used by McKenzie Health to offer our patients 24/7 secured access to their medical details. This tool is provided by Sanford Health.
