in Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana
Watford City, ND—McKenzie Health is thrilled to welcome Dr. Chad Pedersen, an experienced medical oncologist with a deep commitment to providing cancer care to our rural region. Dr. Pedersen, a Sidney native, brings over a decade of internal medicine, and specialized oncology and hematology expertise, bolstered by his leadership as President of the Montana State Oncology Society.
“Dr. Pedersen is a welcome addition to McKenzie Health,” said Pete Edis, CEO of McKenzie Health. “Dr. Pedersen’s arrival enables us to expand our much-needed services, ensuring that patients in Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana have access to compassionate, comprehensive cancer care close to home. His medical expertise and commitment to rural healthcare will bring essential, high-quality cancer care to our community and the region.”
With personal roots in Sidney, MT, Dr. Pedersen’s dedication to improving cancer care stems from his own family’s experience. “I’m passionate about creating a cancer care program that is close to home, comprehensive, and truly supportive of both patients and their families,” says Dr. Pedersen. “Everyone deserves high-quality care, and geographic location should never be a barrier.”
Dr. Pedersen’s professional journey includes completing his medical training at the University of North Dakota and obtaining triple board certification in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine. He is currently pursuing an MBA to expand his knowledge of healthcare management.
McKenzie Health and Dr. Pedersen share a vision to provide compassionate, accessible, and advanced oncology services that prioritize patient experience and care quality. This appointment reflects a shared commitment to strengthening health resources across Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana.
