First-Ever BEE Award Winner Recognized at McKenzie Health – Theresa Martin, Patient Registration
Watford City—Theresa Martin, Patient Registration at McKenzie Health, is the first-ever recipient of the BEE Award – Being Excellent Every Day. The award is offered to any professional who is not a nurse, and nominations can be submitted from patients, family, community members, or staff. It is provided in conjunction with the DAISY Award for nurses. Twenty-one (21) nominations were received for this selection cycle. BEE and DAISY Award recognition is celebrated twice a year – May and December.
The nomination submitted about Theresa read: “Theresa’s cheerful tone and interactions with patients is something amazing. She is kind and considerate when it comes to patients and is always willing to help. I have seen her go so far as to sit with a patient in the waiting area because they are nervous or unsure of what is going on. In this field you come across so many people from all walks of life and to see the genuine smile on her face to everyone is astounding. She never judges nor meets energies that might be unpleasant. She is consistent in how she represents our registration staff. I would love for her to receive this award to show just how amazing she is.”
Jennifer Wolfe, Patient Access Manager, said, “I could go on and on about Theresa. She is reliable, dependable, and efficient, but more than that, she is kind and caring toward all of our patients. She makes a personal effort to see that every patient that walks in our doors is treated as if they were family. She truly is a joy and an asset to our patient access team!”
Pete Edis, CEO of McKenzie Health, added, “One of the many highlights of being CEO is having the opportunity to recognize our dedicated and talented employees. Theresa was nominated and selected by her peers for the BEE Award, which makes the honor that much more special. Congratulations to Theresa for her outstanding contributions to McKenzie Health and most importantly, to the people that depend on rural healthcare.”
If you have had an excellent experience with a McKenzie Health professional, please nominate that person for the BEE Award! You can apply by written or digital application. To apply online, please visit mckenziehealth.com/bee-award.
