HOW OUR COMMUNITY BENEFITS
CLIA-Certified Laboratory, FULL-SERVICE LABORATORY
McKenzie County Hospital Laboratory is an integral part of the McKenzie County Healthcare Systems’ medical team. We are a CLIA-Certified lab, under the directorship of Dr. Catherine Fisher at Sanford Health. We are fully staffed with medical technologists who are board-certified and licensed by the State of North Dakota. As required through federal regulations, we are enrolled in a proficiency testing program through the American Proficiency Institute.
State-of-the-Art Equipment, EXTENSIVE TESTING AVAILABLE
The laboratory is equipped with state of the art instrumentation and offers an extensive testing menu. Any laboratory test that are not performed in-house are sent to our reference laboratory at Sanford Health in Bismarck or to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

You can take advantage of a comprehensive chemistry panel, hemoglobin, hematocrit, white blood cell count, lipid panel, and a TSH (thyroid test) at a greatly reduced rate. Males also have the option to add a PSA screen to their health screen panel. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
No doctor’s order is needed and we’ll let you do it any day of the year – not only your birthday month!

Laboratory testing is provided to assist patient care staff in disease and/or condition diagnosis. It can range from very specific to broad state of health testing. Please check with your physician.
