Dr. Jessica Mastrapa, MD
Hospitalist
Dr. Jessica Mastrapa grew up in Cuba. After being exposed to different cultures, she fell in love with America. As a child, she enjoyed playing the piano and, as an adult, has a deep appreciation for music. With English as her second language and a tenacious spirit, she followed her dream of pursuing a career in medicine.
Dr. Mastrapa credits her mother for her success and regards her as her strongest supporter! During her second year of medical school, Dr. Mastrapa met Juan Carlos in Florida; they married in 2014. They love to travel! Specifically, Dr. Mastrapa loves Austria, Switzerland, and Germany citing their beautiful natural landscapes and warm, hospitable people.
Of medicine, Dr. Mastrapa says, “I love hospital medicine, so have always enjoyed being a hospitalist. I love to help people during their worst times, and do everything in my power to assist.” Dr. Mastrapa’s philosophy and guiding light is to treat every person as if they were her own family. She has been with MCHS since June 2021.
