Common Questions about Cardiovascular Health

Do I need a referral?

Dr. Howard’s focus is providing excellent cardiac care for patients and, as such, does require a referral from a Primary Care Provider or another specialty.

To maintain great heart health, what type of diet should I consume?

Keto, plant-based, DASH from the American Heart Association, or Dean Ornish.

I have a strong family history of heart disease. What can I do to manage this?

Closely manage your cholesterol and obtain your coronary artery calcium score. Physical activity is very important. It is easier to stay healthy as opposed to get healthy.

What do you do if you have a heart rhythm disorder, or arrhythmia?

Make sure you are communicating with your Primary Care Provider and a Cardiologist.
